ROH Joe vs. Kobashi: Samoa Joe vs. Kenta Kobashi
What could be said about this that hasn't been said? I've watched this a shitload of times, and it's still as magical as the first time I did it. It's the ace of ROH going against Kenta fucking Kobashi in front of one of the hottest crowds ever. Literally can't go wrong with it. *****
ROH on SBG #184: Samoa Joe vs. Kyle O'Reilly
Samoa Joe's first match back in ROH since 2008, so it's kind of a big deal. It's a quality pairing on paper too, and the match is good for sure. Joe pretty much just runs through all of his signature stuff during his times on the offense, just bulldozing through O'Reilly, and Kyle tries to focus on Joe's arm in his attacks. ***
ROH Supercard Of Honor IX: Samoa Joe vs. Jay Briscoe
Looking back at this, it sure was quite disappointing. Their original ROH World Title match from 2004 is one of the most memorable ones in ROH history, and while I sure didn't expect them to top it here 11 years later, I still expected a bit more. It just seemed like this never really kicked off; it was just them doing some moves at a slowish pace, with not much substance to those moves. Looked like Joe hurt his knee in the early going, so that might be one of the reasons why for sure. **
