Some STUFF from SummerSlam 2020

WWE SUMMERSLAM 2020

Asuka vs. Bayley
This started off pretty hot with Asuka kicking ass & being compelling all the way through with it -- her kicking Bayley's chest in, manipulating that shoulder, busting out her explosive signature moves - it was all some good shit! Then Bayley took over and the match lost most of its energy & it got very uninteresting, to put it bluntly. Gentleman's ** sounds about right.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins
There's quite a few really cool things about this, such as the fact that it's Dominik Mysterio in his debut match, Rollins' Halloween Havoc '97 attire was badass & the build-up to the match seemed pretty good. Sadly the match itself wasn't good at all; you could definitely tell it was Dom's first match, as he seemed pretty clunky & awkward in most of his comeback bits -- it's definitely completely understandable though, considering the FACT that it was indeed his first match ever. Seth was his usual boring-as-hell -self with his dreadful HHH-like work on top, and then you combine that with some "classic" WWE melodrama shit, and you got a really sleep-inducing overall package in front of you. I did get some chills when Dominik hit that Frog Splash though, but that's as deep as the positives about this thing go. *1/2

Asuka vs. Sasha Banks
This was very underwhelming, especially considering the fact that it's these two going at it. I definitely liked Sasha going after Asuka's knee right from the get go -- Bayley attacked it earlier on in the night, so it made all the sense in the world for Sasha to target it as well, but Asuka certainly wasn't up for selling it, so it just felt like complete useless filler, essentially. Other than that, they had some really neat ideas & spots (that apron powerbomb thooo) here n' there in this, but overall it just fell flat. Out of all the matches they've had against each other, that I've watched, this is easily the weakest thus far. **1/4
